| Le Manoir de Raynaudes was the creation of Orlando Murrin and Peter Steggall, who left successful careers in London to pursue their dream of running a gastronomic maison d’hôtes in rural France. You can read the story of how they found the Manoir, and their adventures since, in A Table in the Tarn (Harper Collins £20). Orlando is a food writer and journalist. For six years before moving to France he edited BBC Good Food and was one of the founders of Olive magazine; he still works as a consultant for the BBC. A Table in the Tarn is his fourth cookbook. In former careers he was a restaurant pianist and advertising copywriter. His responsibilities at the Manoir are kitchen, garden, marketing. Peter was for 15 years an IT director in the financial services industry, in his spare time renovating five houses (including two Elizabethan cottages). He looks after reservations, guest liaison, front of house, property maintenance, wine, housekeeping and finances. We are delighted that a high percentage of Manoir guests return in subsequent years to spend another holiday with us, often many times.
